lazy + tacky + cute

I’m lazy, but I like my nails to be fancy fresh and, if possible, kinda tacky. That’s why I love Sally Hansen Nail Polish Strips, which allow me to achieve my desired amount of fingertip tackiness while also preserving my dream of always putting in as little effort as possible.

Today at my local CVS they were doing a buy one, get one half off promotion on these things and, well, I’m a sucker for a beauty deal. Today I’m wearing the zebra-print “Wild Child,” and when I get sick of it (which will almost certainly be before the week and a half the nail strips last — practically chip-free! — is up) I’ll apply the leopard-print “Kitty Kitty,” which I’ve been trying to get my paws on for a while.

Seriously, if you’re even a little bit lazy when it comes to your nails, I can’t recommend these things enough. They seem a little pricey, but they’re cheaper than a manicure and definitely last just as long. Plus, clearly, they are adorable.

  1. Do you just trim them to fit your nail?

    • It’s really easy! The kit comes with a little buffer/file, and you just stretch the polish strips over your nails and gently file away the excess.

  2. The “Kitty Kitty” ones are AMAZING. My favorite so far. I’m obsessed!

  3. Dammit. They’re so effing cute.

  4. thanks for the info about the sale. guess where I’m headed tomorrow!
